Your Midterm Exam is a TAKE HOME format. It will be posted today and it is DUE IN CLASS on MONDAY OCTOBER 5, 2015. Late assignments will not be accepted except under extreme and documented circumstances.

Using Specific examples from the documents we have read in Voices of Freedom (V1 -CH1-8) and the films we have watched in class, discuss the development of freedom, liberty, and equality in colonial America up through 1815. How was the development different for whites, blacks, Native Americans, and women? What ideas, material realities, and events expanded or limited the experience of freedom for specific groups?
